Yesterday, Lifetime confirmed that their sophomore comedy series, Rita Rocks, has officially been cancelled. Ratings were doing really well in the first season, however, as season the show continued for a second season, ratings decreased during the second season's airings. Melissa Peterman played the role of Jennifer in Rita Rocks, the evil character often fighting with Rita, played by Nicole Sullivan (The King Of Queens).
When Peterman was informed about the shows cancellation, she expressed her sadness towards the cast. After saying she's "Heartbroken," Melissa continued, "They were the funniest, kindest, greatest people, and I'm really, really sad." Comedian Melissa Peterman had made a guest appearance in two episodes, one from each season. She joked, "I reject that cancellation! That makes me sad." It makes her sad, as it does make us sad as well. The show had a good run.
