As we all know, a massive earthquake destroyed Haiti earlier this month. Due to that, Hope For Haiti is to be scheduled to air across eleven television networks. Airing next Friday is Hope For Haiti, an earthquake relief global telethon. Because networks already had programs scheduled during this time slot, multiple changes are to be made in these schedules, due to the telethon.
Currently scheduled for 8PM until 10PM, Hope For Haiti will be on the air, which knocks the hit TV game show, 'The Singing Bee', off the air. As a new episode of The Singing Bee will not air on Friday, January 22, the game show will return the week after.
Posted earlier this evening by fansite MelissaPeterman.net, George Clooney leads the charge from Los Angeles, with Wyclef Jean joining from New York, and Anderson Cooper contributing from Haiti. Hope will feature musical performances and additional celebrity appearances, scheduled to be announced shortly. Proceeds from this telethon will be split among five organizations evenly, including Haiti: Oxfam America, Partners In Health, Red Cross, UNICEF, and Yele Haiti Foundation.
