While filming an episode for the upcoming second season, which was ordered after viewers kept returning every episode, Singing Bee host Melissa Peterman scared everyone present while falling onstage. Peterman, who measures at nearly six-feet-tall without shoes, was wearing stilletos during the shoot.

At the beginning of every episode, host Melissa Peterman chooses casted audience members to compete with others throughout the show. It was while she was picking contestants that she fell. Quickly and without injury, the host recovered and yelled to everyone present, "Keep rolling, I'm fine!" She remains fine, and everything went alright.
